Weekly E-News from Father Kevin (3rd Week of December)

Greetings! May the Peace and Love of our Lord Jesus be with you all!

As we continue along our journey during this Advent Season amidst the coronavirus pandemic, let us continue to be a people of hope, joy, and love! The celebration of the Lord's Birth this Christmas is one week away! Please know that I am praying for each and every one of you, and I hope that you all are doing OK during this time of the Coronavirus Pandemic. I miss seeing all of you at Church every Sunday for Mass! I wanted to take a few minutes to reach out to you and let you know about some of the upcoming events that we are having at Holy Redeemer this upcoming week.

I invite all of you to join us either in person or virtually for Mass celebrating the Fourth Sunday of Advent, this Sunday, December 20th at 9:00 am. If you are unable to join us in person for Mass, I invite you to join us virtually at our Live-Stream at Facebook. You can find the live-stream by visiting our Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Facebook Page.

We invite you to participate in our Angel Tree Project for Holy Redeemer, St. Michael’s and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Due to COVID, we are trying to make this as contactless as possible. This year, we will provide gift cards to kids and families so that they can make online or in-store purchases for Christmas. Gift cards should be in amounts of $25 or higher. We currently have over 100 angels and are expecting more. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. To participate in our Angel Tree Project, please visit this link to sign-up.

Thank you to all of the families who have registered for Religious Education this school year. Packets for the Month of November should have already been turned in. Packets for the month of December should have been picked up and should be turned in upon completion. Stay tuned for communication regarding the packets for the month of January. If you have any questions regarding Religious Education this year, please contact your child's Religious Education Teacher.

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has sent in their contributions during the past few months. If you haven't contributed, but would like to do so, please feel free to mail in your contributions to the parish, or drop them off at the parish office. If you want to explore Online Giving, we have partnered with GiveCentral for our Online Giving Efforts. You can make a donation to GiveCentral by clicking this link, or clicking the button at the bottom of this email.

We are happy to share that Mass Intention Books for 2021 have now arrived and Father Kevin is available to schedule your Mass Intentions for the coming year. If you would like to schedule a Mass to be said for your intentions, please contact the parish office. The suggested donation for Mass intentions is $5.00.

As we continue the Season of Advent next week, we are also preparing for the celebration of Christmas. For those of you who would like to make a donation for our Christmas Poinsettias in memory of a loved one, envelopes are available at the back of the Church, or you can mail-in/drop off your donation to the parish office in an envelope marked “Christmas Flower Donation.” For more information, please contact the parish office.

Offering Envelopes for 2021 are available to be picked up after our Weekend Masses. If you would like to pick up you envelopes during the week, please contact our parish office to make arrangements to pick up your envelopes. We still have many parishioners who have not picked up their envelopes, so please try to do so soon!

I would ask that you please remember in your prayers all the elderly of our parish, especially the homebound and those who are sick. If there is anyone you know that is elderly or who lives alone, I encourage you to please call them and check in on them! If you would like to submit a prayer intention, or let me know about an upcoming birthday/anniversary in your family, please fill out this brief form.

Also please share this email with others as we still have a long way to go in updating all of our contact information.

Please know that I am keeping you and your families in prayer during this time of pandemic. Please feel free to contact me or the parish office if there is anything we can do to be of assistance to you.
